Weekly Report – 17th February 2019

On Sunday, Jules Cooper ran the charity Siriroj Hospital Run For Health 12km race in Phuket City, Thailand. The race ended up being a mile more than expected plus Jules tackled Rang Hill and running on the 402 motorway!

Meanwhile over in Norfolk, Jimmy Secker ran the Valentines 10km that is part of the Norfolk Grand Prix. He finished in 44:52 in 19th place in his age category.

Closer to home, running around the Essex countryside, there were 7 members of Sudbury Joggers that ran the 5 mile Lamarsh Lionheart race. First to finish from the club, in 7th and 8th place, was Dominic Turner and Hugh Turner who finished in 49 minutes. Not far behind them was Bianca Burman (52:12), Sian Guyton (0:58:53) and Imogen Buck (0:58:54), with Steve Roberts and Sue Crawte finishing in 1 hour and 29 minutes.

Over in Bury St Edmunds, Andy Buck, Cliff Manning, Ruth Cowlin, Jackie Hann and Charles Hann ran in the Bury Cross Country in Nowton Park. This was the forth race of the Suffolk Winter League.

Attending the Rayne Anniversary Challenge was Daniel Smith and Sarah Pennock who completed the 26.2 miles in a time of 4 hours and 53 minutes.
