Roger One Mile Time Trials
This week we had three members of Sudbury Joggers run the Roger One Mile Time Trials in memory of Sir Roger Bannister who sadly passed away in early March. This race had been postponed due to snow and ice last month.
Cliff Manning made the mile in 6:36:44 getting him 12th place overall.
Ruth Cowlin got 19th position overall by completing the one mile in 7:26:32.
With Steve Roberts coming in a time of 9:46:62 – his first ever sub 10 minute mile.
This was a family event, and Steve took along his 10 year old son Charlie who beat his old man crossing the finish line in 24th place overall in a time of 8:18:82.
Frinton Half Marathon
Jimmy Secker ran the Frinton Half Marathon through a bitterly cold and stiff northerly wind that made this coastal run a bit brutal.
Despite the weather, Jimmy managed to go over the finish line in under 1 hour and 40 minutes for the first time, coming home in 1:37:36.
